What I offer is a practical way for you to take control of your life whether it is to control your eating effectively so that you reach and maintain a sensible weight or to take charge of your own career or health or fitness.

How do I do this?

I offer a range of techniques to move you forward that draw on Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnosis and Laughter Yoga.

So what does this jargon all mean?

 

Neuro Linguistic Programming(NLP)

NLP is all about recognising the connection between mind and body.  I have to confess I did wonder about it all being mumbo jumbo when I first encountered this but, a lot of it really works. 

There are techniques that can help you:

  • make a decision when you are torn between two situations;
  • deal with negative emotions without having to relive lots of trauma or uncomfortable feelings from the past;
  • empower yourself with positive beliefs
  • find strategies that work to change habits

 

Laughter Yoga

Laughter yoga is a way of laughing without needing jokes, comic situations or a sense of humour to get you going.  It is about engaging in playful, child like actions that bring a smile to your face.

A great way to unwind and take life a little more lightly.

Scientific evidence suggests that laughter is indeed the best medicine so why not give it a go.

Hypnosis

Ever driven somewhere and arrived thinking wow – that went fast, I didn’t notice how I got here.  

You probably switched off and were on automatic pilot – maybe it is a route you do regularly, or most likely you were thinking about lots of other things and just didn’t notice the detail of the journey.

You were probably in a sort of trance.  Well that is what hypnosis is.  It is a relaxed feeling when you shut out a lot of what it happening around you, though you are still aware of it all in the background.

Hypnosis allows you to tap in to your unconscious mind which is really useful when you are trying to change habits and it works well combined with Neuro Linguistic Programming and coaching.

You are in control and I work with you to decide what you want to change so that it is your words and ideas that are used. 

Three or four sessions, which include some hypnosis, can help you on your way to improving your health through adopting better strategies around diet and fitness. Or try out a short course offered in the Croeff and Comrie area.

Smoking cessation often only needs one session.
